In his inaugural speech, Donald Trump denounced the government of former President Joe Biden, accusing them of corruption and ineptitude that had put the country’s borders in jeopardy.
He added that integrity, loyalty, and competency would be restored to the nation under the Trump administration.
Trump took the presidential oath for the 2nd time in his life today, administered by Chief Justice John Roberts at the Capitol Rotunda.
Trump also stated his inaugural speech at the Capitol stated that this would be a “Golden Age of America” and that he will always “Put America First”.
Prayers were led by Reverend Franklin Graham and Archbishop Timothy Dolan at the Capitol’s Rotunda prior to the Trump swearing-in ceremony.
In his inauguration address, Trump reaffirms his intention to declare a state of emergency along the southern borders. He added that they will start the process of returning “criminal elements” to Mexico and that any unauthorized admissions will be stopped. He also stated that he would put an end to birth-right nationality.
